BACKGROUND:
The Anderson brothers have been involved in drag racing since the late 50s and early 60s when Dan raced a Chevrolet powered Austin Healy that won numerous races and events. Dan then switched to a '38 Chevrolet with a blown small block engine. This car ran mainly at Fremont where Howard got his first driving experience at the ripe old age of 17. He was hooked. In 1989 Nostalgia Racing was getting started and the brothers built a '48 Anglia with a blown, cast iron, 354 Chrysler and raced it through 1993. Today the brothers are racing a state of the art '38 Chevrolet Coupe on a 25-1-c chassis powered by a BAE engine. In 1999 the brothers were AA/Gasser Champions and in 2002 they were the Goodguys AA/Gas Champions.
